The location for this role is Pune, and candidates should have 2-7 years of experience.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with the UG NX CAD tool, including handling DMU/Vehicle CAD models, component packaging, and harness routing using the electrical routing module.
Experience with harness design tools such as Capital XC or equivalent tools is preferred. A strong understanding of preliminary routing concepts, including bending radius, overstock, and branch looping for both static and dynamic parts, is required.
Excellent communication skills are essential to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, ensuring the correctness of harness routing paths and holding arrangements.
The candidate must also be able to understand the vehicle assembly sequence and define harness routing accordingly. Additionally, the role requires the ability to qualify connectors, terminals, clips, splices, grommets, etc., with electrical attributes and take ownership of projects from concept to product implementation. Hands-on experience with PLM tools, Teamcenter data management, BOM comparison, and ECN release activities is also necessary.
The candidate should have exposure to automotive component assemblies and manufacturing processes, as well as a strong knowledge of components and technologies, particularly in Electric Vehicles (EV), Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), and Hybrid systems.
Experience in vehicle electrical integration and integrating new electrical features is highly desirable.
